Quick, easy to use check list ensures key safety checks are carried out prior to use. Each pad provides 25 individual pre-use inspection checklists, automatically producing a carbon copy which is retained in the book as part of the audit trail. The operator simply completes the comprehensive check list, signs and dates it. Once inserted into the pod it provides a clear visual statement of the racking status. If the racking is safe for use, a "Good to Go" tag is clearly visible for all to see. Likewise if a fault is found a "Do Not Use" tag indicates the racking should not be used. The book also includes useful guidance notes to remind operatives what to look for during their inspection.“SEMA recommend that racking operators are the first line of defence and should always be encouraged to report damage as it occurs. The second line of defence should be a supervisor’s weekly patrol inspection carried out with the express purpose of checking the racking. This should be done at weekly intervals normally at a standard walking pace keeping documented records of the inspection and action points resulting from the inspection.
